Our Leadership

Experience That Inspires Confidence

Roger Martin, our General Manager, leads Laser Defense with decades of expertise in safety and defense. A retired municipal police officer, U.S. Army Infantry veteran, and 20-year SWAT team member, Roger’s distinguished career includes a Congressional Award for Bravery and a National Award for Outstanding Arrest. His extensive experience in developing multi-jurisdictional SWAT teams highlights his leadership in high-pressure situations, such as hostage rescues and active shooter scenarios.

Roger also spent nearly 20 years training newly hired police officers, preparing them to defend themselves and others in real-world environments. In the private sector, he founded a consulting company specializing in personal and corporate safety strategies, tailoring security solutions for high-net-worth clients and businesses. His expertise in firearm training, risk assessment, and public safety makes him uniquely qualified to oversee Laser Defense. Roger’s commitment to education and safety ensures every participant receives world-class instruction in a secure environment.

Giving Back to the Community

Supporting Those Who Serve

Laser Defense is proud to give back to law enforcement and the community. Recognizing the challenges smaller departments face in securing training resources, we offer free sessions for police forces with fewer than 20 officers. These sessions take place weekday mornings and provide vital training opportunities for officers who often lack access to live-fire ranges.

In addition, we support charitable initiatives, allocating portions of our revenue to causes such as families of fallen officers and police dog training programs. These contributions aim to strengthen communities and honor those who dedicate their lives to public safety. At Laser Defense, we believe that giving back isn’t just an obligation—it’s a responsibility we are proud to fulfill.
